Rice & Flower is New York City's premier flower cake design studio. Using only the high-quality ingredients as possible, we create hand-crafted cakes that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Secret techniques in hand-piping, coloring, and composition mean every cake is truly one-of-a-kind. All the flowers are made with Italian meringue buttercream or sweet lima bean paste frosting— making them a treat for both the eyes and taste buds.

Our cakes are perfect for celebrations and make an exceptional gift because they can be customized to your request. We also offer various class offerings— from casual to more in-depth— for your learning needs.

About seyun

Bringing her designer background into culinary artistry, Seyun founded Rice & Flower with the simple goal of creating unique and beautiful flower cakes. Cakes that are as delightful to look at as they are to eat. Her signature hand-piped petals and one-of-a-kind coloring techniques translate to sophisticated, captivating floral designs that push the creative boundaries of everyday beauty. Each and every cake is a little piece of edible art. Seyun often draws her inspiration from impressionist paintings, which she studied while receiving her MA from Parsons School of Design.

Seyun was featured at and worked with numerous media and brands, such as NBC, The Knot, Style Me Pretty, NY Magazine, Kleinfield, NY Bridal Fashion Week, Fresh Beauty, DVF, etc. Seyun had the honor of creating her signature floral cupcakes for the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. Seyun served as a guest instructor at New York University.
