Rice & Flower is New York City's premier flower cake design studio. Using only the high-quality ingredients as possible, we create hand-crafted cakes that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Secret techniques in hand-piping, coloring, and composition mean every cake is truly one-of-a-kind. All the flowers are made with Italian meringue buttercream or sweet lima bean paste frosting— making them a treat for both the eyes and taste buds.

Drawing upon her background in design, Seyun embarked on a culinary journey to establish Rice & Flower, driven by a simple yet ambitious vision: crafting exquisite flower cakes that are not only visually stunning but also a delight to the palate. Infusing her creations with hand-piped petals and innovative coloring techniques, she elevates floral design to a new level of sophistication, transcending the ordinary and redefining the concept of edible beauty. Inspired by impressionist paintings, a passion she cultivated during her MA studies at Parsons School of Design, her cakes emerge as edible masterpieces, each one a testament to her artistry.
Seyun's talents have garnered attention from various media outlets and esteemed brands, including NBC, The Knot, Style Me Pretty, and NY Magazine. Her collaborations span prestigious events such as Chanel, Gucci, Fresh Beauty, and NY Bridal Fashion Week, among others. She had a privilege of creating her signature floral cupcakes for the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. Additionally, Seyun shares her expertise as a guest instructor at New York University, further enriching the culinary landscape with her passion and creativity.
