WEDDING CAKE DESIGN SERIES
Seasonal blooms— Wedding Dress Rose & Jana Rose
Thu, Jan 23 (3 seats) / Wed, Feb 29 (5 seats) / Wed, Mar 12 (5 seats)
10am to 4pm
This advanced-level one-day class is tailored for experienced decorators ready to elevate their skills in crafting stunning buttercream wedding cakes. This season, we focus on two sophisticated and elegant blooms: Wedding Dress Rose and Jana Rose. Due to the complexity of these flowers, students are required to have completed Rice & Flower classes or have prior experience with flower piping.
The class delves deeply into the anatomy of flowers in a focused, exploratory setting, helping students understand the structure and intricacies of each bloom. The emphasis also placed on the composition of vertical arrangement, a challenging technique made even more complex by the soft nature of buttercream. To enhance the appeal of the designs, this class introduces an additional medium: wafer paper flowers. Students will learn to craft the Wedding Dress Rose using wafer paper, adding a delicate, dimensional element to their creations.
While the class does not include a dedicated buttercream demonstration, a session can be conducted upon request to support students in achieving optimal results. This hands-on experience focuses on perfecting advanced techniques for realistic petals, nuanced color blending, and the creation of cohesive, elegant arrangements suited for wedding cakes.
Class sizes are limited to 3 students to ensure detailed, personalized guidance and a premium learning experience.
